NCAA Ban's "Top-Crop" Jerseys

    The NCAA has recently announced, via ncaa.org's Greg Johnson, that the NCAA has banned "crop top" jerseys on the field during games. The official statement read;

    "Officials will treat illegal equipment issues—such as jerseys tucked under the shoulder pads or exposed back pads—by making the player leave the field for at least one play. The equipment must be corrected for the player to return to the game. The player may remain in the game if his team takes a timeout to correct the equipment issue."

    Ezekiel Elliot from Ohio State became famous for wearing his jersey tucked into the shoulder pads, and admitted that it was to attempt to gain an edge over the defenders trying to tackle him. The NCAA decided to stop it from being an advantage beyond 2014.
